Wir hatten das Upsale-Angebot (149,00 USD für eine Balkonkabine) nicht wahrgenommen, weil wir nicht so nah unter die Kontrolle unserer Eltern kommen wollten und weil wir die 6002 mit Blick nach vorne hatten. Nun ein Upgrade wollten wir nicht ausschlagen, vielleicht hätte es uns ja besser getroffen als unsere Eltern... WIr hätten ja auch ein Penthouse bekommen können und wären mit Sicherheit danach enterbt worden... Also lernen wir damit zu leben...



We did not used the upsale-offer (149.00 USD for a verandah cabin) because we did not want to be so close to under control of our parents and because 6002 has a view to the forward. But we did not want to decline an upgrade maybe we would be get something better than our parents... It might be a Penthouse and be sure we would have been taken out of the last will of our parents... So we started to live with it...

We liked our cabin and for the next time: never agin like on NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS between the parents. There were six cabins between us and the parents. Close enough to be there in urgency but far away that they will not come and see us for everly little thing and contact us on the balcony. We did not explained that they need to dial first 0 before you can call other cabins.



Unsere Kabine gefällt uns und für das nächste beschließen wir: Nie wieder wie auf der NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS zwischen den Eltern. Sechs Kabinen liegen zwischen uns und den Eltern. Nah genug, dass wir schnell beieinander sind und weit genug, dass sie nicht bei jeder Kleinigkeit sofort über den Balkon uns kontaktieren können. Wir haben nicht erklärt, dass man die 0 vorwählen muss, bevor man die andere Kabine anrufen kann.











Somehow a small thing was missing: drawers. There only few at the beds. Somehow I missed it at the desk.



Eine Kleinigkeit fehlt irgendwie: Schubladen. Es gibt nur die am Nachttisch. Am Schreibtisch fehlt etwas.

Aber dafür kann man ersatzweise im Schrank Böden einfach umklappen. Das nächste Mal kaufen wir bei IKEA ein paar Pappschubladen, die wir dann mitbringen.



As replacement you get some boards in the closet which you can swing down. Next time we will buy some cardwood drawers with IKEA which I will take on the ship.









Somewhere I read in internet or with Douglas Ward that only 110V-power outlets were available. But you have here 220V-power outlets as well



Leider steht irgendwo auf der Webseite oder Douglas Ward falsch, dass es nur 110V-Steckdosen gibt. Es gibt hier doch 220V-Steckdosen.

Ich könnte jetzt meinen Frust ja auch an der Mini-Bar auslassen.



I could use the mini-bar to compsensate my frustration.

It's cheaper than with NCL. Maybe to make it more attractive if you have a giant frustration and you need the whole mini-bar to drink with out getting bancrupt. Would only Coke Zero hiere inside: Maybe I would have make it.



Das ist billiger als bei NCL. Vermutlich um es attraktiver zu machen, wenn der Frust so groß ist, dass man die ganze Mini-Bar leertrinken kann, ohne anschließend Privatinsolvenz anmelden zu müssen. Wäre sie komplett mit Coke Zero gefüllt: vielleicht hätte ich es jetzt gemacht.

Stattdessen versuche ich mit Special Needs at Sea in Kontakt zu kommen...

We had this chair too. (Next time if WESTERDAM meets EURODAM: please move one from EURODAM for me: I like them better...)



Auch wir haben den Hocker. (Das nächste Mal, wenn die WESTERDAM die EURODAM trifft: bitte einen Hocker für mich von der EURODAM rüberholen: die finde ich schöner...)

Und bei uns ist keine Wolldecke drin.



But with us there was no wool blanket.

Sample for the different standards in the four cabins: the fruit basked: one cabin had it complete... one cabin with out the information that you can order to have it filled with fruits and two cabins had nothing.... and the worst treatment (from our point of view): one of the cabins got without being asked fresh grapes although they were not listed...



Kleines Beispiel für den unterschiedlichen Standard in den vier Kabinen: der Obstkorb: eine Kabine hat ihn komplett... eine Kabine ohne den Hinweis, dass er auch gefüllt werden kann und zwei haben ihn gar nicht... Und die größte Unverschämtheit (aus unseren Augen): eine der Kabinen bekommt auch noch unaufgefordert Weintrauben, die gar nicht auf der Liste stehen...

Wir finden doch noch zwei Schubladen unter dem Bett, wobei wir nicht so recht wissen, ob sie für uns oder für die Stewards zu Nutzung gedacht waren.



We found later two more drawers under the bed but we did not know if they were more for the stewards or for us to use.

What is very good: the curtain that you can close if you need to see the toilet in the night time and to avoid that the other get disturbed by the light of the bathroom.



Was sehr gut ist: der Vorhang, damit man wenn man nachts auf Toilette will den anderen durch die offene Tür des Bades nicht stört.

Wir haben die Tipps aus dem Internet befolgt, und uns Kreppband mitgebracht, damit die Klimaanlage nicht so direkt ins Gesicht bläßt, wenn wir schlafen.



We followed the tips in the internet and brought this special tape with us that the air condition would not blow directly into our faces while we were sleeping.

What I hate totally sandwich blankets... really one reason not to book HAL. But not as bad as the MSC-version and it is double covered. I hope that they will supply by 2010 duvets. So far I could not find a tag if they used 100% cotton linen.



Wie ich das hasse: Sandwichdecken... ein Grund wieder nicht HAL zu buchen. Aber nicht so schlimm wie bei MSC, weil sie hier doppelt eingeschlagen sind. Ich hoffe, dass sie bis 2012 auch klassische Oberbetten haben. Ich konnte bisher noch kein Schild finden, ob sie reine Baumwolllaken verwenden.

Normalerweise hasse ich Duschvorhänge, aber der ist doppelt für innen und außen, so dass man in der Badewanne für Zwerge ohne morgendlichen Tanz mit dem Vorhang duschen kann.



Normally I hate shower curtains but this one was a double one for inside and outside so that you have no dance with the curtain every morning when you use the bath tub created for short people and take a shower.





Irgendeiner meinte bei cruisecritic.com, dass es die kleinen Elemis-Flaschen nicht mehr geben würde. Aber im Moment gibt es sie wohl noch bei uns an Bord. Allerdings ziehe ich persönlich die Spender wie bei NCL vor, damit man nicht unter der Dusche mit den kleinen Fläschchen herumfummeln muss.



Someone wrote in cruisecritic.com that the little bottles of Elemis-products were not available anymore. But currently we still get them on board. But personally I prefer the dispensers like on NCL to avoid the handling of the little bottles when you are under the shower.









No need for this: the cover did not fit properly.



Das muss nun nicht sein. Die Abdeckung sitzt nicht richtig.

Das ist ein Cent-Artikel. Und damit wir nicht ständig die Abdeckung nach der Benutzung der WC-Spülung wieder draufsetzen müssen, bitten wir darum, dass sie eine passende Abdeckung einsetzen. Aber da passiert leider auch nichts in den nächsten Tagen.



Something with a value of cents. And as we did not want to put back the cover every time we used the toilet flush we asked for a replacement which fits. But nothing happened for the next days.









It was not that all items of my gift order went wrong. The coffee and soda card was delivered properly. After the misunderstanding on EURODAM regarding the Meet & Greet for cruisecritic.com: HAL hosts such meetings as well.



Es wäre nicht so, dass mal wieder alle Positionen meiner Geschenkbestellungen schief gegangen wären. Die Kaffee- und Sodakarten liegen schon bereit. Nach den Missverständnissen auf der EURODAM bezüglichlich eines Meet & Greet von cruisecritic.com: auch bei HAL gibt es solche Treffen.

Und ich habe auch sehr schnell eine Bestätigung aus Seattle bekommen und alles wird nochmals hier an Bord bestätigt.



I got very quickly the confirmation from Seattle and here onboard I got it again.

We got the HAL-tote again. On EURODAM we got for each of us one... But we stayed in a SY-Suite... and now we have the replacement for the tote which came back shrinked from the laundry on NORWEGIAN GEM.



Abends gibt es noch HAL-Tasche. Auf der EURODAM gab es für jeden von uns eine... Damals haben wir aber auch in einer SY-Suite gewohnt... und nun haben wir Ersatz für die Tasche, die in der Wäscherei auf der NORWEGIAN GEM eingelaufen wieder zurück kam.

Das ist mein OBC von 20,00 USD den ich bekommen habe, weil mir das HAL-Logo-Shirt von der letzten EURODAM-Reise etwas sechs Monate nach Ausschiffung ausgeliefert wurde und ich Steuern in Deutschland zahlen musste, weil der Versand aus Kanada erfolgt ist.



That was my OBC for 20.00 USD which I got because they send me my HAL-Logo-Shirt from my last EURODAM voyage about six monthes after our debarkation and I had to pay import duties as they shipped it out of Canada.

The champagne for Bruno's parents were delivered correctly. Maybe the Bon-Voyage-package is new... and you have now some sweets as well or on EURODAM they forgot to deliver them to Bruno's sister and brother-in-law... This time we did not order for 3.00 USD more the three balloons but we can see them all over on the ship on other cabins. Let's see what HAL Seattle will say...



Auch der Sekt für Brunos Eltern wurde ordnungsgemäß geliefert. Entweder das Bon-Voyage-Paket ist neu... und es gibt nun auch noch Süßigkeiten dazu oder damals auf der EURODAM wurde es vergessen bei Brunos Schwester und Schwager auszuliefern... Auf die 3,00 USD mehr für drei Luftballons haben wir verzichtet und die hängen schon überall für andere Kabinen. Mal gucken, was HAL Seattle dazu sagt...

Jeden Tag gibt es eine Bestätigung für unseren bestellten Tisch.
